A leading expert in behavioural finance, sustainable investing, and financial wellbeing, Greg combines academic rigour with industry experience to help people make better decisions.
Greg founded and led the first behavioural finance team in banking globally in 2006, serving as Barclays’ Global Head of Behavioural Quant Finance for a decade. Since 2017, he has led Behavioural Innovation at fintech Oxford Risk, developing behavioural technology to enhance financial decision-making.
Greg holds a PhD in Behavioural Decision Theory from Cambridge University. He has lectured at Imperial College and LSE, and held associate fellowships at Oxford University and UCL. He is co-author of "Behavioral Investment Management" and frequent public speaker globally. In April 2025 he launched an online course to help investors make better decisions: The Art of Behavioural Investing.
Greg also runs Behavioural Wine Tasting events with Master of Wine John Downes, using wine to illustrate decision science.
For the last 5 years he chaired Sound and Music, the UK’s national organisation for new music, is an experienced choral singer, and co-created Open Outcry, a ‘reality opera’ creating live performance from a functioning trading floor.
