Dr Kate Raynes-Goldie helps leaders and teams thrive through curiosity, connection, and purposeful play—while championing the power of difference.
Kate is the creator of SUPERCONNECT®— a methodology based on LEGO® Serious Play® that boosts inclusion and belonging, psychological safety, and improved business outcomes through better conversations.
Kate is also the co-founder and Chief Connection Officer at The Up Next Company and a long-time tech and innovation columnist for Business News.
Originally from Canada and a graduate of the University of Toronto, Kate is regularly invited to share her expertise at the university level. She is currently teaching strategic communication at the University of Western Australia. She has also taught at the Canadian Film Centre’s Media Lab and at Curtin University’s Business School, where she is also a past Senior Adjunct Research Fellow.
With over 20 years of global experience, Kate has taken the stage at TEDxPerth, SXSW (Austin and Sydney), and the International LEGO Serious Play Conference at Legoland in Denmark. She’s coached TEDx speakers, been named one of WA’s 40 Under 40, and was honoured as the Australian Computer Society’s Professional of the Year.
Kate is a Professional Member of Professional Speakers Australia and an accredited Mental Health First Aider.
