Executive Director StrategyHUB24

Jason Entwistle brings over 30 years of experience in financial services, having established and led several successful wealth management businesses. In 1990, he was part of the pioneering team behind the Navigator master trust, and later co-founded Avanteos—Australia’s first online wrap platform—acquired by the Commonwealth Bank and rebranded as Colonial FirstWrap. Jason has consulted on platform strategy for more than 20 leading financial institutions across Asia Pacific and the UK. Most recently, he undertook a study tour of the UK advice and platform market, gaining valuable insights into global best practices in platform innovation and advice technology. These learnings continue to inform HUB24’s strategic direction. As one of HUB24’s longest-serving team members, Jason has played a key role in shaping the platform’s evolution over the past 15 years, helping to drive innovation that supports scalable, efficient, and compliant advice delivery.

Advice businesses look different today—smaller firms, fewer advisers, delivering more tailored advice to fewer clients, often at higher fees. This reflects the economic reality of the industry but also underscores a growing challenge: the advice gap. With 16.4 million Australians seeking advice and only 15,500 advisers available, driving scale is essential. While platforms have taken us far, transformative productivity gains require more than platform evolution. Fragmented data and limited integration across the advice process—especially in areas like client engagement, strategic implementation, and workflow management—continue to hinder efficiency.

In recent years, HUB24 has made several strategic acquisitions—including Agility Applications, Class, and myprosperity—to end fragmentation across the advice process. This session will showcase how HUB24 is delivering measurable improvements, empowering advisers to scale their impact, deepen client relationships, and run more profitable businesses.
